VPS for an Online Store: 8 or 16 GB of RAM?
I’m choosing a server for WooCommerce. The store is still small—about 2,000 products—but I plan to actively expand the catalog and run ads.
There are two rough options:
4 CPU / 8 GB RAM / 100 GB NVMe
or
6 CPU / 16 GB RAM / 160 GB NVMe.
I’m looking at hostpro.com. Does it make sense to go with the second option right away, or is it better to start with 8 GB and upgrade the RAM when there’s actual traffic?
